HALF-DAY TOUR OF THE TAVOLARA AND MOLARA MPA
The Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area is one of the richest areas in Sardinia for coastal flora and fauna, thanks to the constant attention paid to preserving its beauty over the years. Situated opposite the Gulf of Olbia, it extends from Capo Ceraso to the San Teodoro area, encompassing the two main islands of Tavolara and Molara, as well as numerous smaller rocks and islets. Departing from Mare e Rocce beach, we will visit some of the most beautiful spots within the park by dinghy, with at least three stops to fully enjoy its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking landscapes. You will be captivated by the famous "natural pools" of Molara and their colors, and by the majesty of Tavolara, rich in history and beauty. A stop on the island of Tavolara is also possible, where with a little luck you may even encounter the King himself, Tonino Bertoleoni.

Departing from Mare e Rocce beach, we'll head to the island of Figarolo, about a 15-minute sail away, aboard our dinghy. The presence of an aquaculture facility and the natural landscape attract numerous seabirds and bottlenose dolphins ( Tursiops truncatus ) to the area. By cruising at a slow speed, you can observe them up close in their natural habitat; with a little luck, you might even catch a glimpse of their leaps and acrobatics. The sighting will be accompanied by an expert marine biologist, who will provide in-depth information about the world of these magnificent creatures. The excursion will also include a swim stop and a dinghy tour of the picturesque cliffs of Capo Figari, Figarolo, and Cala Moresca, some of the most captivating spots on the Sardinian coast.
